Softball Recap: Chatfield Drops Highest Score of Season Against Thunderridge

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chatfield). They blew past the ThunderRidge Grizzlies 19-9 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won six in a row.

Avry Aukland was incredible, going 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Quinn Davros was another key player, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with four runs and two RBI.

Chatfield's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for ThunderRidge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Chatfield is taking a road trip to challenge Legacy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for ThunderRidge, they will be taking part in a tournament against Bear Creek at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
