Basketball Recap: Broken Bow Takes a Loss

Broken Bow managed to slip by Ogallala the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Broken Bow was dealt a 60-13 loss at the hands of Ogallala on Friday. The contest marked Broken Bow's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Jaycee Staples and Erin Taylor, who each put up three points. Charlee Myers held things down on the boards with six rebounds. Bailey Faltys took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Ogallala found their leader in sophomore Shaydyn Rasby, who went 11-for-14 on her way to 22 points and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rasby has scored all season. Laney Caskey was another key player, putting up eight points and 14 boards.

Broken Bow's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Ogallala, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Broken Bow has already played their next matchup, a 61-44 loss against Gothenburg on the 31st. As for Ogallala, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-37 defeat against Holdrege on the 31st.
