Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask King City). They blew past the Santa Catalina Cougars 64-12 on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Mustangs with their most commanding win of the season.

King City found their leader in freshman Crystal Paramo, who went 8 for 11 on her way to 17 points in addition to six steals and five boards. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for Paramo. Another player making a difference was Katia Slama, who posted 14 points and six steals.

The victory made it two in a row for King City and bumps their season record up to 3-10. As for Santa Catalina, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

King City will welcome Palma at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Palma's defense has only allowed 25.5 points per game this season, so King City's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Santa Catalina, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-16 defeat against Pajaro Valley on the 13th.
