Baseball Recap: Bulloch Academy Comes Up Short

Bulloch Academy was the 6-2 winner over First Presbyterian Day when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Gators fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bulloch Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for First Presbyterian Day, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Bulloch Academy and First Presbyterian Day should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Gators (ranked 94th) will meet Englewood (ranked 241st) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bulloch Academy 3.4, the Rams 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, First Presbyterian Day will challenge Tiftarea Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (53 vs. 297).
