Lamar County had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Columbus Blue Devils. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 6-1 victory the Blue Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Columbus now has a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Lamar County will head out to take on Marion County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbus, they will face off against Calvary Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
