Basketball Recap: Sunrise Mountain Piles Up the Points Against Skyline

There's no place like home for Sunrise Mountain, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They claimed a resounding 61-24 victory over the Skyline Coyotes.

Sunrise Mountain was led to victory by Emma Nielsen and Addison Wiemann. Nielsen went 7-for-12 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points, while Wiemann almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. Those 24 points gave Nielsen a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rylee Nielsen, who posted seven points.

The win got Sunrise Mountain back to even at 1-1. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Sunrise Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-50 victory against Desert Mountain on the 25th. As for Skyline, they have also already played their next game, a 67-35 loss against Horizon on the 26th.
