Preview: Mars Fightin' Planets vs. Fox Chapel Foxes
After three games on the road, Mars is heading back home. They will take on the Fox Chapel Foxes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Monday, Mars came up short against Hampton and fell 54-42.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Alexis Cashdollar, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Ava Day was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Fox Chapel suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were beaten by North Hills 52-19. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Fox Chapel has scored all season.
Mars' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8. As for Fox Chapel, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.
Mars was able to grind out a solid victory over Fox Chapel in their previous matchup on January 2nd, winning 66-57. Will Mars repeat their success, or does Fox Chapel have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
