Soccer Game Preview: Ware County vs. Wayne County

The Ware County Gators will challenge the Wayne County Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Ware County's offense. They fell 2-0 to Benedictine on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Wayne County had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Panthers. The win was all the more spectacular given the Yellow Jackets' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Panthers are ranked fifth).

Wayne County pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four matchups. As for Ware County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
