Barron waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Ladysmith Lumberjacks get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-0 last Thursday.

Zac Edwards was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Barron is 8-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise. Edwards was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Troy McDonough, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two triples, and four RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Ozker Kunkel was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs.

Barron's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Ladysmith, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-20.

As of now, neither Barron nor the Lumberjacks have any future games scheduled.
