Colorado commit Julian Lewis leads No. 5 Carrollton to 46-7 win over Valdosta to advance to Georgia 6A quarterfinals.

No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) added another impressive win to its resume with a dominant 36-7 victory over No. 12 Centennial (Corona, Calif.) in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 semifinals. The win snapped the Huskies nine-game win streak as the Monarchs won their seventh game against a MaxPreps Top 25 opponent.

No. 7 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) beat No. 13 Orange Lutheran (Orange, Calif.) 20-17 in the other semifinal setting up a rematch with the Monarchs. Mater Dei handed the Braves their only loss of the season with a one-sided 59-14 defeat during the regular season. It was the worst loss for the Braves under Jason Negro.

This will be the seventh time these two national powers have faced off in the section championship game since 2016. The series is split at three apiece. The last time the winner of the regular season meeting won the rematch was in 2017 when Mater Dei went wire-to-wire as the No. 1 team in the country.

Julian Lewis led No. 5 Carrollton (Ga.) to a 49-13 win over Valdosta (Ga.) in the second round of the 6A playoffs. The recent five-star Colorado commit threw for four scores giving him 44 on the season.

Up next for the Trojans is Hillgrove (Powder Springs, Ga.) with a spot in the 6A semifinals on the line. The Hawks beat Peachtree Ridge (Suwanee, Ga.), 30-14.

No. 11 Buford (Ga.) won its 11th game in a row with an impressive 42-7 win over Lowndes (Valdosta, Ga.). The Wolves will face an undefeated North Gwinnett (Suwanee, Ga.) squad in the 6A quarterfinals next week.

The biggest upset came in Kentucky's 4A bracket as Covington Catholic (Park Hills, Ky.) snapped No. 17 Boyle County's (Danville, Ky.) 32-game win streak with a 31-28 victory. It was the first playoff loss for the Rebels since 2019.

No. 23 De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) won its 32nd consecutive North Coast Section title with a 10-7 win over Pittsburg (Calif.). The Spartans overcame three turnovers and followed the lead of senior running back Dominic Kelley who finished with 172 yards rushing and a score. He gave De La Salle the lead with a 33-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter and helped the Spartans run the clock out in the final seven minutes with some key first down conversions.

No. 21 Corner Canyon (Draper, Utah) overcame an early 21-7 deficit against Lone Peak (Highland, Utah) to pull out a 30-27 win to repeat as 6A state champs. It was Eric Kjar's 100th win at Corner Canyon since taking over as head coach in 2017. He has gone 100-8 while leading the Chargers to five state titles (2018, 2019, 2020, 2023, 2024).

King Cooper scored on the first play of the game with an 80-yard touchdown run to put the Chargers up 7-0. Lone Peak reeled off 21 unanswered points to take a 21-7 lead with just over four minutes remaining in the second quarter. Weston Briggs ran it in from four yards out to cut the deficit to 21-14 with 48 seconds left in the first half.

Briggs scored his second touchdown of the night with a 1-yard run to tie the game at 21 with just under four minutes left in the third quarter. The Knights started the next drive at their own 4-yard line and it resulted in a safety after a Jayden Talauega sack to make it 23-21 with 2:42 remaining in the third quarter.

The Chargers were facing a fourth-and-11 and Bronson Evans connected with Kai Meza for a 34-yard touchdown to make it 30-21 early in the fourth quarter.

Kepa Niumeitolu scored his fourth touchdown of the night from one yard out to cut the lead to 30-27 with 7:47 left but was ejected for a personal foul after the play. The Chargers held the ball for over six minutes on their next drive and forced a turnover on downs on Lone Peak's last chance.

No. 22 Bergen Catholic (Oradell, N.J.) erased a 14-0 third quarter deficit and pulled out a 20-14 overtime win against St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, N.J.) to advance to the Non-Public A championship.

Dominic Campanile cut the lead to 14-7 on the final play of the third quarter with a 1-yard touchdown run. Campanile tied it up with a 2-yard score with 3:54 left. After the Green Knights missed a field goal on the opening possession of overtime, Najee Calhoun scored from one yard out to win the game. The Crusaders will face Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.) in the championship game on Nov. 29 at MetLife Stadium.

No. 24 DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) looks to win its first WCAC title since 2016 against Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, Md.) at Navy-Marines Corps Memorial Stadium on Sunday. The Stags, who beat Good Counsel during the regular season 35-7, have won nine in a row since a season-opening loss against No. 10 Archbishop Spalding (Severn, Md.).
