Valwood and Southland Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2022, but likely not for long. The Valiants will be taking part in a tournament against the Raiders at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Meanwhile, Southland Academy also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Southwest Georgia Academy on Friday, falling 12-0. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Valwood's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Southland Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Valwood couldn't quite get it done against Southland Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-0. Can the Valiants avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
