Soccer Recap: Pacific Ridge's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Pacific Ridge's game back in December of 2024 was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Canyon Crest Academy Ravens a 2-0 shutout. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Firebirds as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Ady Bremner and Evie Spengler scored both of Pacific Ridge's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Pacific Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Canyon Crest Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Pacific Ridge and Canyon Crest Academy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Pacific Ridge (ranked 823rd) will meet Poway (ranked 70th) at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Canyon Crest Academy will take on Torrey Pines at 6:00 p.m. on January 15th down 490 places (714 vs. 224).
