Alleghany and West Wilkes are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Trojans will challenge the Blackhawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Alleghany fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Starmount on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They and the Rams were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered a 23-22 defeat. The Trojans gained 94 more yards on the day, but it was the Rams that made the best use of them.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Aiden Love, who rushed for 91 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, West Wilkes scored first but ultimately less than East Wilkes in their contest on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 27-9 to the Cardinals. The loss continues a trend for the Blackhawks in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost five in a row.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 3-2. As for Alleghany, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Alleghany strolled past West Wilkes in their previous matchup back in March of 2021 by a score of 25-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
