The Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) football tipped the host West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC), 17-10 in Friday's league outing.

The Trojans now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Wilkes for a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A outing on Friday, October 10. Alleghany will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 7-0 league loss to Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-3.
