North Carolina High School Football - Wilkes Central overwhelmed by Alleghany

The Alleghany Trojans walloped the visiting Wilkes Central Eagles football team by a score of 42-6 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans face the North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) in a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A challenge, on Friday, October 24. Alleghany will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record. The Vikings come into the test with a 4-4 record after their 35-13 league loss to Starmount (Boonville, NC).

With the defeat, Wilkes Central falls to 5-3 on the year. The Eagles host Starmount (Boonville, NC) to face the Rams in a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A game on Friday, October 24. The Rams enter the game with a record of 6-2. Starmount won 35-13 in their recent league game against North Wilkes (Hays, NC)
