North Carolina High School Football - Alleghany tops North Wilkes

October 24, 2025: Hays, NC 28635

The Alleghany Trojans football squad scored 42 points and limited the host North Wilkes Vikings to 12 in the Trojans league triumph on Friday.

The Trojans now sport a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they host Elkin for a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A test on Friday, October 31. Alleghany will face a Buckin' Elks team coming off a 66-7 league loss to East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Buckin' Elks record now stands at 2-7.

The Vikings (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC). The Blackhawks enter the Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, West Wilkes ran past Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC), 34-6, in a league challenge.
