Baseball Recap: Norwell Comes Up Short

Norwell suffered their closest loss since April 30, 2025 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Weymouth Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The Clippers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Norwell has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. As for Weymouth, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-11.

Coming up, Norwell will face off against Hingham at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Harbormen's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Clippers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Weymouth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
