Soccer Game Preview: Columbia vs. Rochester

The Columbia Eagles will face off against the Rochester Rockets at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Columbia comes in on four and Rochester on eight.

Columbia is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They never let Father McGivney Catholic get on the board and left with a 2-0 win.

Meanwhile, Rochester got the win against Effingham on Friday by a conclusive 3-0. The result was nothing new for Rochester, who have now won ten matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Effingham with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Evan Lemme, Brenden McArdle, and Carson Berberet.

Rochester's victory bumped their record up to 12-9-1. As for Columbia, their win bumped their record up to 21-5-3.

Columbia took their victory against Rochester when the teams last played back in September of 2022 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Rockets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
