Soccer Game Preview: Cate vs. Bishop Diego

The Cate Rams will head out on the road to take on the Bishop Diego Cardinals at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Cate fell victim to St. Bonaventure and their airtight defense back in December of 2024. They fell just short of the Seraphs by a score of 1-0. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bishop Diego fought the good fight in their overtime game against Foothill Tech on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 1-0. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Cate's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Bishop Diego, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Cate beat Bishop Diego 4-2 in their previous matchup back in January of 2019. Will Cate repeat their success, or does Bishop Diego have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
