Baseball Game Preview: Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers vs. McDonough Warhawks

For the second straight game, Eagle's Landing Christian Academy will face off against McDonough. Eagle's Landing Christian Academy will venture away from home to face off against McDonough at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eagle's Landing Christian Academy has three straight victories, McDonough has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Eagle's Landing Christian Academy made easy work of McDonough and carried off an 11-1 win.

Andrew Pauldin made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Eagle's Landing Christian Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-10 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Luke Stansell was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Aidan Mathews, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

McDonough's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, their record is now 7-10.
