Softball Recap: Franklin County Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Franklin County can now relate to. They lost 16-7 to the Hart County Bulldogs on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 18-6 loss on Wednesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Franklin County and nudges their season record down to 9-14. As for Hart County, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-14 record this season.

Franklin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hart County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Morgan County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Morgan County will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
