Football Recap: Champaign Central Maroons vs. Peoria Lions
If Champaign Central was riding high fresh off their 36-14 takedown of Danville last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Maroons were dealt a 64-27 defeat at the hands of the Peoria Lions on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Maroons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 296th, while the Lions are ranked 76th).
Although Champaign Central took the loss, they still got scores from Talin Baker, Wilson McDaniel, and Ziyir Aker.
