Recap: Shanley Deacons vs. West Fargo Packers
The Shanley Deacons put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat West Fargo 50-14 at home. Considering Shanley has won seven matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Landon Meier was his usual excellent self, throwing for 337 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Jordan Leininger was another key contributor, picking up 93 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Shanley's win was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. As for West Fargo, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Shanley will face off against Fargo Davies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Dakota (Fargo Davies is ranked eighth, while Shanley is ranked first). West Fargo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
