Basketball Recap: Roosevelt's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

If Fresno wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Roosevelt, they should've done a better job of containing Nyleigh Gregory. The Roosevelt Rough Riders strolled past the Fresno Warriors with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 56-41 thanks in part to Gregory, who went 13 of 22 on her way to 39 points. Those 39 points gave her a new career-high.

Roosevelt moved to 18-7 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Fresno, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Roosevelt has already played their next contest, a 66-49 defeat against Bullard on the 4th. As for Fresno, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-26 victory against Washington Union on the 1st.
