Softball Recap: Southern Boone Comes Up Short

After flying high against California on Thursday, Southern Boone came back down to earth. The Eagles came up short against the Parkway West Longhorns on Friday, falling 12-0. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Longhorns apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Southern Boone's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Parkway West, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Southern Boone will be playing in front of their home fans against Chaffee at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Parkway West, they will head out on the road to face off against Linn at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns' pitcher better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
