On Thursday, the Miramonte Matadors had just enough and edged the Northgate Broncos out 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Matadors.

Olivia Penney and Sadie Leal-Schuman scored both of Miramonte's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

Miramonte's victory bumped their record up to 8-5-1. As for Northgate, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1-2 and their overall record down to 7-3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miramonte will challenge Acalanes at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Northgate, they will take on Campolindo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northgate's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
