Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Santana's 11th in Last 12 Outings

Santana had won three straight road games and Sam Mora did her part to make it four on Tuesday. The Santana Sultans simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the San Ysidro Cougars 69-17 thanks in part to Mora, who posted 23 points and seven rebounds. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Chopee Shiro, who had nine points and three steals. Those nine points gave her a new career-high.

Santana has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.8 points per game. As for San Ysidro, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Santana will square off against Escondido Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for San Ysidro, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bonsall at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. San Ysidro is facing Bonsall at the right time seeing as Bonsall is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
