Recap: Elgin Wildcats vs. Pflugerville Panthers
The Elgin Wildcats''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They blew past Pflugerville, posting a 44-17 victory at home. The result was nothing new for Elgin, who have now won four matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.
Nathen Lewis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 133 yards and three touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Curtis McFarlin, who rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rhyder Miller, who rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown.
Elgin's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Pflugerville, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Rouse the next time they take the field. Pflugerville will host Rouse at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Elgin will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on November 2nd.
