Basketball Recap: Hueneme Comes Up Short

Hueneme was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 38-18 to the Nordhoff Rangers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 38-15 back in December of 2024.

Nordhoff's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chloe Jackson, who posted 12 points. Kirstianna Clark was another key player, putting up seven points and 13 rebounds.

Hueneme's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Nordhoff, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Hueneme will square off against Royal at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nordhoff, they will venture away from home to square off against Channel Islands at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
