Baseball Recap: Temple Tigers vs. Pepperell Dragons
Temple had lost six straight at home, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 5-24 to make it seven. They lost 11-0 to the Pepperell Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, with their most recent loss being a 19-1 defeat on Friday.
As for Pepperell, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games.
For Pepperell's part, Ayden Frazier was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Frazier is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Ross, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.
As of now, neither Temple nor Pepperell have any future games scheduled.
