Baseball Recap: Briggs Comes Up Short

Briggs came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Bishop Ready Silver Knights by a score of 9-7 on Saturday. The Bruins have struggled against the Silver Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Briggs' defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Bishop Ready, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Briggs will challenge Whetstone at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bishop Ready, they will square off against Hamilton Township at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
