Softball Game Preview: Flint River Academy Wildcats vs. Twiggs Academy Trojans

Things were looking good for Flint River Academy after they put the first run on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 11-3 to Southland Academy. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost four in a row.

Taylor Callahan was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Kinley Rasbury was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Twiggs Academy's offense. They came up short against Fullington Academy on Tuesday, falling 7-0. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, Twiggs Academy's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Flint River Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Twiggs Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Flint River Academy couldn't quite get it done against Twiggs Academy when the teams last played back in September as they fell 16-11. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
