Softball Recap: Leedey Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Leedey dropped to 25-6 on Thursday, ending the team's six-game streak of wins on the road. They came up short against the Mangum Tigers, falling 9-1. The Bison were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

As for Mangum, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games.

For Mangum's part, Paelyn Clark made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Clark has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hanna Stehr, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Aubrey Lowe was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs.

As of now, neither Leedey nor Mangum have any future games scheduled.
