Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask University). They came out on top against the Northwood Timberwolves by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Trojans with their most commanding win of the season.

Chloe Cho and Charlotte BeCkmann scored all three of University's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

University's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2-1 and their overall record up to 3-9-1. As for Northwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 1-7-1 record this season.

University and Northwood could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. University (ranked 582nd) will meet Laguna Beach (ranked 277th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Northwood will take on Rosary Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday down 546 places (662 vs. 116).
