Recap: North Valley Christian Academy Lions vs. Anthem Prep Eagles
Even though the North Valley Christian Academy Lions have not done well against the Anthem Prep Eagles recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. North Valley Christian Academy came out on top against Anthem Prep by a score of 57-48. The win made it back-to-back wins for North Valley Christian Academy.
North Valley Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Triniti Terracciano, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Terracciano has scored at least 25% of North Valley Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Abby Rice, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 18 rebounds.
North Valley Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Anthem Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Valley Christian Academy will take on Valley Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Valley Lutheran is ranked 192nd, while North Valley Christian Academy is ranked 199th). As for Anthem Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against North Phoenix Preparatory Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
