Soccer Game Preview: Nordhoff vs. Santa Paula

Nordhoff is 0-10 against Santa Paula since January of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Nordhoff Rangers will welcome the Santa Paula Cardinals at 6:00 p.m.

Nordhoff is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game last Wednesday. They came up short against Channel Islands, falling 8-2. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Rangers were already down 3-0.

Charlotte Smith and Jocelyn Jimenez scored both of Nordhoff's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, Santa Paula's game on Wednesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Hueneme. That's two games straight that the Cardinals have won by just one goal.

The victory made it two in a row for Santa Paula and bumps their season record up to 6-4. As for Nordhoff, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
