Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Vanessa Chow and Jewel Wilson Lead Design Tech to Victory

Design Tech won the last time they faced University Prep Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Design Tech Dragons took down the University Prep Academy Golden Eagles 46-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dragons.

Design Tech was led to victory by Jewel Wilson and Vanessa Chow. Wilson posted 17 points, while Chow dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Design Tech is 7-1 when Chow posts eight or more boards, but 3-4 otherwise. Rotem Haimovich was another key player, putting up four points and 11 rebounds.

Design Tech smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Design Tech's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for University Prep Academy, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Design Tech has already played their next game (against The Nueva School), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. University Prep Academy will be playing at home against Summit Shasta at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Summit Shasta will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something University Prep Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
