Basketball Recap: Pacheco Finds Home Court Redemption Against Livingston

There's no place like home for Pacheco, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Livingston Wolves on Thursday, sneaking past 43-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since December 27, 2023.

Sasha Siemiller was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten steals. She has been hot, having posted four or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nikki Nance, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Livingston's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tatianna Alvarez, who earned 11 points. Dalia Castro was another key player, putting up eight points and five boards.

Pacheco pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for Livingston, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

When Pacheco and Livingston next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Pacheco will try to stop Lathrop's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Livingston will challenge Ceres and their three-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
