Soccer Recap: Thousand Oaks Finds Playoff Glory Versus Woodrow Wilson

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Thousand Oaks walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Woodrow Wilson Bruins a 2-0 shutout on Wednesday. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Bruins are ranked 180th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Luchiana Shattuck and Brynn Feiereisen scored both of Thousand Oaks' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Thousand Oaks' victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Woodrow Wilson, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.

Thousand Oaks didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Oxnard on the 14th. Woodrow Wilson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
