Tompkins came tearing into Saturday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 47-40 victory over the Clear Brook Wolverines. While the Falcons didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Tompkins' win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Clear Brook, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tompkins will face off against Bridgeland at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clear Brook, they will square off against Dobie at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolverines will be up against the Longhorns' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.14 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
