Softball Recap: Pius X Has No Trouble Against Mccook

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Millard North, Pius X was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the McCook Bison as they made off with a 9-0 win. The Thunderbolts might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.

Pius X got a massive performance out of Kendal Heimes, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Kirsten Laue also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

Pius X was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Pius X's record is now 13-16. As for McCook, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season.

Pius X has already played their next contest, a 4-0 victory against Douglas County West/Concordia on the 9th. McCook does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
