El Rancho waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the El Monte Lions 66-6. The Dons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 21 points or more this season.

El Rancho's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carissa Basurto, who went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc on her way to 23 points and five rebounds. Those 23 points gave Basurto a new career-high. Emery Riker was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 18 boards.

El Rancho smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

El Rancho pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 45.8 points. As for El Monte, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Rancho will venture away from home to challenge La Serna at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for El Monte, they will head out to square off against Gabrielino at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
