Basketball Recap: Elite Takes a Loss

Elite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Chavez Titans and fell 38-4. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Keymonee Morgan and Savannah Barrow, who each put up two points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chavez to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aubrie Knighten, who posted ten points. Those ten points gave Knighten a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Paulina Sanchez, who put up eight points.

Elite's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Chavez, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-15.

Elite wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 38-15 defeat against Redwood Christian on the 30th. As for Chavez, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 31-28 loss against Gateway on the 30th.
