Softball Recap: McCook Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for McCook's offense. They came up short against the St. Cecilia Bluehawks on Saturday, falling 13-0. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Bison's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

McCook's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for St. Cecilia, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

McCook will challenge Highway 6 at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Cecilia, they will take on Grand Island Central Catholic at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bluehawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crusaders have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
