It was a proper cat-fight when White Pine took on Awaken Christian on Friday. The Bobcats walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lions. The victory was familiar territory for the Bobcats, who have now won three contests in a row.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant White Pine was: they took both sets by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-15.

Their offense was headlined by Camden Johnson and Gracie Hall, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Savanna Pratt and her seven assists. Addie Costello controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

White Pine's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Awaken Christian, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: White Pine beat the Lions by a score of 2-0 later that day.
