Football Recap: Birch Run Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Birch Run was the 21-20 winner over New Lothrop when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell 31-21 to the Hornets on Friday.

Garett Martinus threw for 61 yards and one TD. Joseph Leach was his top target, picking up 56 receiving yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Hugh Tanner rushed for 85 yards and one score.

Birch Run's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for New Lothrop, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Birch Run will challenge Chesaning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for New Lothrop, they will venture away from home to face off against Mt. Morris at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
