Having just played yesterday, the Chico Panthers will jump right back in to play the Pleasant Grove Eagles at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. Chico is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.9 points per game this season.

On Friday, Chico beat Rocklin 63-51. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Thunder are ranked 211th).

Kayleigh Solano was her usual excellent self, going 8-for-18 to rack up 27 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Josie Murphy, who posted 11 points.

Chico was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pleasant Grove). They walked away with a 62-50 win over Rio Linda on Friday.

Chico's record now sits at 7-2. As for Pleasant Grove, their record is now 3-5.
