Kapaun Mt. Carmel had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 56-7 victory over the Wamego Red Raiders. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won nine games by 22 points or more so far this season.

The win (which was Kapaun Mt. Carmel's fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.2 points on average over those games. As for Wamego, they moved to 9-3 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Kapaun Mt. Carmel will face off against Bishop Miege on Saturday. Wamego does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
