Soccer Recap: Gatewood Takes a Loss

Gatewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monsignor Donovan Catholic Rams. Gatewood were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Monsignor Donovan Catholic apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Gatewood's goal came courtesy of JT Gregory, who's now up to three this season.

Gatewood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Monsignor Donovan Catholic, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Gatewood didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 6-0 loss against Central Fellowship Christian Academy on the 24th. As for Monsignor Donovan Catholic, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-1 defeat against Augusta Prep Day on the 25th.
