Softball Recap: Piedmont Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Piedmont's offense. They fell just short of the Choctaw Yellowjackets by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Piedmont's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Choctaw, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-2.

Piedmont and Choctaw should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. The Wildcats will challenge Muskogee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (26 vs. 114). Meanwhile, Choctaw (ranked second) will meet Edmond Santa Fe (ranked 106th) at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
